Upgrade Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2022

Is it possible to upgrade from Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2022, passing through Windows Server 2012 R2? I don't know if it is possible with the "storage" version of Windows Server 2008 R2. Does anyone have experience with this?
