Tayum

Tayum, officially the Municipality of Tayum (Ilocano: Ili ti Tayum; Tagalog: Bayan ng Tayum), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Abra, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 14,869 people.

Tayum is 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of capital Bangued. The town is located at 17°37′N 120°40′E.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the municipality has a land area of 61.14 square kilometres (23.61 sq mi) constituting 1.47% of the 4,165.25-square-kilometre- (1,608.21 sq mi) total area of Abra.

Every 25 November, Tayum celebrates its town fiesta. Roman Catholicism is the dominant religion.
