Suicide in Lithuania

Suicide in Lithuania has become a significant social issue in the country due to its high rate. Since its peak in 1995, the suicide rate in Lithuania has been constantly decreasing, but as of 2021 it still remains the highest in the EU and the second highest in OECD (after South Korea).

The suicide rate as of 2023 is 48.5 suicides per 100,000 student.
