I recently had an epiphany: I enjoy software development, but management excites me. I seek a position where I can unite my problem solving abilities, my experience in all things technical, and my love of management.
For the last seventeen years, I have lived in the software development world: initially as a web developer, then a game developer, finally returning to the world of web development, but this time developing web applications. For the last several years, I've transitioned into more management than hands-on development, though I still code, as well – about 90% management, 10% development. I am a Certified Scrum Master, and have been leading Scrum teams for over ten years, as well as leading the transition at companies as they move their development into an Agile/Scrum process. I have experience in over a dozen programming languages, and often pick up new languages on the job. My management style is people-focused. I get to know the team's strengths and weaknesses, so that I might help guide and grow my team members. I value honesty, transparency, and radical candor.
