Once upon a time, back in the days of minicomputers and pteranodons, I was an operating system programmer and chip designer. I wandered into application programming, got a teaching credential in computer science, and wrote code in Pascal, FORTRAN, PL/1, APL, C, various assembly languages, bash, assorted BASICs, and their ilk. I wandered away from designing & writing code for a living and worked on other things.

Eventually, I came back, focusing this time on HTML, CSS, perl, PHP, mySQL, and most recently Python. I'm not doing it for a living these days, and I feel a couple of decades out of date, but I'm having fun with it.

At the moment, I'm creating a point of sale system for my tea shop and designing some interactive exhibits using Raspberry Pi 3's at a wildlife sanctuary.
