I am a Data Science Consultant in Bonn with a background in Geophysics and Neuroscience.

As a Data Science Consultant I support my customers to set up suitable infrastructure and pipelines for their computational requirements. I help customers to optimize processes, apply statistical analytics and provide software/infrastructure-as-a-service to operationalize new solutions.

Before becoming a Data Scientist, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (Computational and Systems Neuroscience, INM-6) at the Juelich Research Centre. I focused on the statistical analysis of massively parallel neural activity data, namely neural dimensionality, correlation, coupling and causal relation between time series and/or point processes. This work was part of the Human Brain Project.

I am an experienced Scientific Coordinator and have managed the interdisciplinary Competence Area 3: Quantitative Modeling of Complex Systems, which is part of the excellence initiative of the University of Cologne; as well as tasks in the Human Brain Project.

I was visiting scientist at the Institute of Clinical Neuroscience and Medical Psychology of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, where I worked together with Prof. Florin on resting state networks. I am also still active in turbulence research of space plasmas (Saturn's magnetospheric plasma dynamics and turbulent heating, critical balance in the solar wind).

In my spare time I am an editor for the Scientists for Future podcast (https://s4f-podcast.de) and develop augmented reality apps to visualize the climate impact of food products (https://green-score.app).
