I worked from the mid-90's until about 8 years ago in the IT sector - everything from Active Directory migrations, Y2K consulting for Fortune 500 companies, and IT Director for a few companies.

THEN, I moved into a sales role in the mortgage industry (after working as an IT Director for a mortgage lender. After 8 years of that, I am ready to come back to the technology arena after some friends got me excited about "Big Data" and what companies are doing with it.

I did some work in college with SAS (got my degree in Economics) so some of what I am digging into now is what I set out studying in college all those years ago.

I am excited to be a part of this online community and hope to learn as much as I can.
