Professionally, I am a software developer just getting started in industry, specializing in web development using the Microsoft stack. I'm a big fan of service oriented architecture, and find my niche to be in the middle to backend layers of n-tier software. I like to play with Arduinos and mobile development in my free time when I'm not playing music.

Musically, I grew up in a family of musicians primarily influenced by my father (a classically trained jazz bassist). My first instrument I took seriously was the ocarina, starting when I was 5. I picked up bass when I was 8, violin at 10, guitar and bass (upright and electric) at 12. Since then I've noodled with a lot of stuff and have a solid foundation of music theory. Favorite artists include: Return to Forever, Charles Mingus, Horace Silver, The Roots, Tom Waits, anything Jack White, Opeth, Billy Faier, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. The only genre I have a hard time listening to is Modern Country after the 90s.
