From my experiences in quality and production engineering I know the value of good business data, and the potential it brings. However, I have seen few companies with the capability to collect and make use of the data even for simple diagnostic purposes.

I know the business side intimately. I'm learning the data science, business intelligence and business analysis sides to be able to enable companies to put better data collection and analysis into practice.

I'm currently available due to the economic downturn in the energy sector (particularly acute in Calgary.) I would welcome any experience putting data analytic thinking into practice. I'm available for short term or long term projects; primarily working out of Calgary, but able to travel and work in both Canada and the US (eligible for TN-1 visa).
