I self-taught php/mysql programming via books and doing my own little projects. I tried CodeIgniter so long ago that I really do not remember much of it for lack of usage. To learn at more advance level I would like to create my own php framework -- but will actually use either codeIgniter or Phalcon for paid projects -- unless I see the light and use something more robust. Being an accountant by trade, Im able to see how software fit into busines management and/or accounting.
