Greetings! I'm a Full-Stack Web Developer with a background in academic philosophy and photography. I come with a fancy critical thinking cap for expert problem solving, and a strong eye for elegant, clean visual design. I am familiar with the Javascript ecosystem and specialize in the MERN stack (MongoDB/Moongoose, Express, React, Node). You can learn more about me at my portfolio site.

I am looking for a position where I can contribute and further develop my talents. I have always worked in education so educational tech companies would be a good fit, but my interests are wide and varied and I am open to hearing your proposals.

Mostly a self-taught developer, I got my start at FreeCodeCamp (such an amazing community!), completed the Front-End Web Developer curriculum at Code Fellows in Portland, OR (now Alchemy Code Lab), and apprenticed as a Full-Stack Web Developer at Learners' Guild in Oakland, CA.

I then went on to teach at U.C. Berkeley's Coding Bootcamp and tutored nationally for Trilogy Education Services, Inc. (who runs these bootcamps inside extended education programs at universities nation-wide), and also joined OpenClassrooms - Europe's largest, accredited online learning platform - as a web development mentor.

Currently I work as a freelance software developer and educator under the umbrella of Alfonso Tech.
