I am not a professionnel computerman. I didn't learn computing at University. I come from the booktrade.

My first experience with computing was with the Texas Instrument TI 59 in 1977, then the Pet from Commodore(??), the commodore 64 at the beginning from 1980 using basic (I never owned any of those, I used the one from the library (Pet) and from Hamradio friends(Commodore 64)).

1986 I bought my first computer Amstrad 1512 2 diskreader 5 1/4 and two OS, Dos from Microsoft and the one from Digital. I started programming with Borland Turbo Pascal 3, then Ver 4, vers 6, Delphi 3, Delphi 5, and Delphi 7. As a bookseller(Schoolbooks 95% export myself with my wife), I wasn't satisfied with the invoice software I bought. in 1988 I decided to write my own program.

With the last version of my software von 2009, I could managed all Orders und invoicing, with all the custom forms and invoices in 4 different languages, packing in separat student parcels for French overseas schools with all the requiered packing documents and lables. I didn't understand a lot of things in computing, I just didn't have the time, my sofware should worked and that was it. But now I want to understand . That why after nearly 10 years I started again beginning with objects and classes.
