After nearly 20 years in Primary teaching, both classroom and management (as a Deputy Head teacher of a large new school) as well as a very enjoyable stint as an Advisory Teacher, I am now working in HE at University of South Wales - although looking forward to moving to University of Gloucestershire in the near future. I joined University of Wales Newport as a Web Based Learning Environment Developer, managing the upgrade to Moodle2 and then managing the ongoing development of the learning environment and the support for staff until the merger with University of Glamorgan. I continue to manage the VLE for the Caerleon and City campuses within the new University of South Wales, but I am also now involved with the move to consolidate the university onto a single VLE - in combination with other peripheral tools such as Panopto, Campus Pack, TurnItIn, etc. I am enthusiastic about Open Source solutions and Open Education and have been working with the Universties Wales Open Education Resources project to create the OER portal for OERCymru/Wales.

Recent Conferences/Presentations include: MoodleMoot16 - Conference Programme Committee & Session Chair Enabling a multilingual approach to open education resources in a Welsh context.
