Pioneered software as a service, web-based applications and the social web, while at start-ups like WeSync/Palm, Concur, UltimateBet, and iovation. He created the Mid-Oregon chapter of the Software Association of Oregon in the early 1990s. He has been active in the northwest technology community as an advocate and a trainer since 1985.
