I am an experienced IT professional ( in those dinosaur languages of COBOL ) trying to "reinvent" myself for the new world. Approx. 10 years ago I started supporting a 100% FREE hosting service ( before FREE shared hosting was a concept ) for social groups, scouts, non profits, etc., that do not have the funds to buy space on a "free" server elsewhere.
During these 10+ years I have "learned" PHP 4, MySQL 3, dabbled in CSS, dabbled in JS, and FREAKED out over all of the new flavors of JS (node.JS, jQuery, etc...).
Currently I am looking for new employment, in IT, in the Kansas City area either as a junior/entry-level LAMP stack developer or a QA/Tester.
I am the best opportunity for a local employer:
1) lower salary requirements than most candidates
2) willing to sign a ROI agreement for your investment in my skills
3) willing to stay with your company for the long haul - not a short time employee.
Sincerely,
Scott M.
