My day job is a backend software engineer. My experience has largely been focused towards developing backend REST APIs built on top of springframework, and modeling our Microsoft SQL database with javax JPA in conjuction with hibernate via the annotation apis.

I have built games in Python and developed UI for websites using angular, javascript, jquery, css, and a few years ago I was developing UI in AS3 with mxml until they switched to angular solutions.

I'm interested in learning more about unix environments since they seem to allow the user a deeper dive in what makes a system tick although I find myself frustrated more often than I'd like, I love discovering new things and sometimes still feel that rush of excitement when something new begins working and taking shape.
