For work I develop embedded control software for instruments used in biotech, such as DNA sequencers and PCR/dPCR/qPCR systems. I live, breathe and speak Python, C++, C, and various scripting languages, especially on Linux/UNIX, but also on Android/AOSP, Mac OS X, and even bare metal. I did some earlier work in Debian (e.g. porting to ARM), wrote a whitepaper on spam control for mail exchangers, I volunteer as room parent at a local math circle, and I (used to) play trombone.
