Me:
College student studying software development. Began working as a graphic designer at the age of 15, switched to software development halfway through my design degree. I learned programming by self-instruction with C++ and Python the summer following my sophomore year of college.
I have programming language experience in C++, Python, Javascript, and Java.
On Learning Communities:
It's my firm belief that antagonism (mockery, elitism, condescension) in learning communities hinders learning. Learning is born out of positive interactions with others and positive reinforcement.
I further feel imposing personal opinions on others concerning particular languages or frameworks lacks educational value and fails to be constructive.
On Sharing Opinions:
Everyone has personal opinions, and each individual has a right to have those opinions. That being said, no individual has a right to act in such a way that imposes their own personal opinions on another individual in such a way that takes away or lessens that individual's right. Sometimes the most positive way to share a personal opinion is to keep it personal.
