Wanderlust and patriotism lead me to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, where I rose to the rank of Sergeant and served as a tank commander. Following my tour of duty I attended Florida State University and earned a B.A. degree in Theatre.

I've has been asked how one goes from the Marines, into theatre, into computing; each one being so different. My answer is that they are the same, as they all have required a “collaborative art.” A creative application of knowledge, in a team environment, has been the key to a successful completion of the mission.
