Why would I want to reveal anything (including my real name)
about myself on the internet?
You can't trust the people on it.
I don't see the NSA revealing more about itself than it needs to.
Why should I?
I absolutely NEVER fault ANYONE for attempting to help (me or others) & failing. That includes the creators & maintaining this Stackoverflow site. I can only imagine how massively complex it is to maintain such a huge continuously interacting/changing database/website such as this.
But, I DO hate false promises, misleading techno-hype etc by the computer hardware & software & technology communities. I absolutely would LOVE to have "magic"-producing technology cure cancer, reverse aging, raise the dead, instantly sort & retrieve data, solve the P vs NP problem etc. But, I KNOW that is not the case. I am not cautiously optimistic: I am triumphantly realistic optimistic: the final triumph of math & technology over our own unintentional & intentional (political) limitations will come with tremendous violence, conflict & tears. But it will be worth it. But, never forget: NO technology circumvents FINITE limits & the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.
And, will idiots PLEASE STOP REFERRING TO MOORE'S MOMENTARY OBSERVATION as a "law"? Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW), evolution by natural selection, general relativity are LAWS and THEORIES, and UNASHAMEDLY so, backed up by GAZILLIONS amount of data. Moore's "law" was just a TEMPORARY HISTORICAL BLIP of an observation in digital processing speed.
Only idiots who do not understand hard physical reality fool themselves into thinking processing speed will continue to "double" every ten or whatever years. They are like the idiot peak-oil deniers.
