Sven Erik Matzen is a Senior Software Architect with multiple certifications and over 20 years of experience in national and international IT teams. Planning, developing, and reviewing secure, distributed software to deliver high-value software and services to customers quickly and empowering co-workers by sharing knowledge and solving problems.
BACKGROUND: I have started my career as a software developer already in school in 1985 on my C64, where I worked mainly in assembler. I worked for Universal-IT Services GmbH as a senior software developer & -architect, where I implemented web applications and established coding- & architecture-guidelines as well as CI/CD pipelines. As a CTO at Prodanet, I built a set of base libraries to save implementation time, moved products from a monolithic approach to a service-oriented structure, and initiated using serverless Azure Functions. At SDX AG, I’m involved in extremely diverse projects, from banking over transport and telecommunications to avionics, from scrum to waterfall, and in roles like a developer, lead, architect, and Azure DevOps administrator.
SPECIALTIES: Since the beginning, security was one of my particular interests. At SDX AG, I am giving security awareness and web developer security training. I also provide code security reviews for our customers. At Universal-IT Services GmbH, I was one of the two software architects and a source code reviewer responsible for ensuring correct, maintainable, and secure code before shipping to production. I achieved certification as an (ISC)² CSSLP, MCPD EA, and MCTS TFS.
