Omnivorously curious about many things, mostly at the intersection of technology, culture and science. Interests include, in no particular order:
- Landscape Photography
- Team science and collaboration - the influence of societal and organizational culture on being able to work with others.
- Biomimicry and how we humans may be able to bend the cost curve of our technological blunders (DDT, BPA, endocrine disrupting chemicals) so that we can survive the next century.
- How the interdependence of software systems, organizational culture and department-level workflow can make or break the introduction of new software that is supposed to be an improvement.
I count among my achievements learning Java after having been a procedural programmer for decades. But even now it seems like I am too many years still a novice at Sem-Web stuff.
