I approached my first computer when I had 12 years old: an old Commodore Vic20 on which I learnt the basics.
I continued learning in the years after studying informatics at the high school and working in a software house in summer developing databases in DB3 Plus / DB4.
Then I stopped for my career as a software developer dedicating myself to electronics engineering in which I graduated.
When I start working I went back to my first love learning Visual Basic. I worked as manager of a test engineering team that was developing software and hardware to perform automatic tests of automotive electronic components (mainly engine control units). We were using Visual Basic, LabView, LabWindows CVI and C-based environment. I also developed many programs in VB6 for error proofing and statistical analysis.
After that experience I changed my role working in different areas carrying with me my experience in programming and trying to apply it to my jobs.
At the moment I'm a system administrator and I use Access for data analysis (import data from a bigger db, analyze, export result).
Recently, as "training" I developed a db for customers management for building sector, a books database, a Project management db based on GTD (Getting things done) methodology, a warehouse management database and some more.
