I worked in a few fields of computer sciences: operating systems, compilation, databases and statistics, AI and operation research, and a few specialized applications and services.

All along, I wandered between studies and teaching, analysis and programming, research and development, evaluation and consulting. For years, I contributed to free software as a volunteer, mainly for GNU. I still maintain a few packages and tools.

I like music, maths, and many other things. My preferences vary, but nowadays, it's mainly Linux, Python (bits of Scheme, Java, Erlang), Vim (and also Emacs).
