Dean Del Ponte has over seventeen years of experience in the information technology industry including Groovy, Grails, Java SE, and Java EE development.

Dean is proficient in the area of web development, most recently working with Grails, Groovy and jQuery.

Dean is the lead developer and maintainer of the Grails Platform-UI Plugin, a plugin that provides abstracted UI elements and theming for plugin/application interoperability.

Dean is also a member of the GPC or Grails Plugin Collective. The Grails Plugin Collective is a group of volunteer developers who work as a group to maintain a selected subset of Grails plugins.

Dean previously wrote for and maintained a popular Grails related blog (http://www.grailsblog.com) and has had the article ‘Inline Editing with jQuery’ published in the July 2009 edition of GroovMag.
