I'm a developer/partner at TerraMeta Software Inc.

At TerraMeta in addition to various Federal Government and commercial contracts, we are fielding several open source software products. While in various stages of development ranging from conceptualization to production, these products adhere to a few important principles. The most important of which is to leverage structural, behavioral and executable metadata which is both standardized as well as externalized. Rather than hide metadata somewhere within a product or even as vendor specific annotations or other API, an externalized approach allows application developers better access, governance and control over metadata, and makes developing generic applications and services far more feasible. We therefore leverage standard API's which adhere to, or are at least compatible with this principle. Some of these are XPATH, SDO and UML.

I'm trying to get more involved with StackOverflow.
