Hmm worried... I see at least one experienced reputable member on this forum has cast over 1600 put down votes in under 2yrs, mainly to questions - with a down:up ration of 97%. Ouch.

Well, I'm an experienced plant engineering technician rather than a code buff. At work I bear in mind that many of my customers lack certain specialized knowledge and so I'm rarely scornful of 'stupidly put' questions.

I can't expect folk to go and read up for a month or undertake several years training before entertaining more 'knowledgeable' questions from them. And I sure hope that they'd extend the same courtesy to me in their own field.

I understand general programming concepts but am plainly not a programmer to trade. I never claim otherwise.

My interest in coding... I resort to coding occasionally - as a means to an end. Always learning and am sincerely grateful for any, tolerant advice offered with goodwill, from those more proficient.
