My journey into the wild world of software engineering began in 1999 when I enrolled at the University of Southern Mississippi. Since then I have worked in scientific computing using Monte Carlo simulations to do molecular modeling, I have written APIs for data acquisition cards and the signal processing software that was used to make sense of the data, and I have managed, written code for, and supported countless enterprise level projects in the federal space. Beyond software I have been a physical scientist for the Naval Oceanographic Office and I have nearly 15 years experience as a math and physics tutor.
