Brian is a multiple patent holder and award winning silicon valley engineer.

He is the new Senior Vice President and Director of Mobile and Digital Commerce at Bank of Hawaii and the founder of Tapiki, LLC, a Hawaii based iPhone application design and development company.

Brian was the first Chief Innovation Officer at Mid-Pacific where he was responsible for articulating a vision for educational and administrative use of technology throughout the school, building upon Mid-Pacific's strength as a leader in implementing innovative and emerging technologies in the classroom. Brian has experience as a designer, software engineer, and has been a co-founder on multiple technology startups.

Brian worked at Apple, Inc. during which time he was awarded five patents for the iPhone and mobile web technologies. He managed the MobileMe User Interface Engineering team and also worked on the iTunes Music Store, iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb, Motion, and OS X.

Brian has over 18 years of experience building and designing desktop and web applications and over 8 years of experience building mobile (iPhone, iPad, Android) games and applications.

Brian was nominated as a Webby Honoree for web development work on Springfield Town Center in 2009. In 2017, Brian was an honoree in Hawaii Business Magazine’s 20 for the next 20, a list of 20 individuals in Hawaii whose talents, accomplishments and potential set them apart as emerging leaders in Hawaii.
