I'm keen to learn Ruby and have spent a few weeks reading a couple of books, blogs and taking a few online courses, but now feel I need to get my hands dirty and start working on something to really learn!

During that time I also discovered Sinatra and I like the combination of the two to learn some of the basics before maybe moving onto Rails.

At present I'm trying to look at ways of using Ruby to display data (from a MSSQL db) within a few simple webpages.

Enjoying the learning immensely, you know, apart from all the times I'm getting frustrated with myself for not simply knowing it all already!
