I started work in IT in 1973 doing application programming for a major Australian bank. IBM mainframe in PL/1 using DB2 and IMS. Did a long stint writing pre-Windows PC applications using UCSD Pascal, then back to mainframe programming again. I am currently employed doing database design and and administration (mainly DB2) At home I program in Delphi, writing applications for non profit organisations.
