Open University mature student studying for a BSc. Hons in CS, about 2/3rds through. Course is taught in Java.

Worked as a carpenter for 22 years before a combination of boredom & dodgy knees made me decide on a new career path!

After training as a CAD draughtsman, discovered my inner nerd - love for logic, maths & computing. Began writing AutoLisp macros, Sketchup Ruby modules, now learning Java & OOP.

I like Java but sometimes find it frustratingly verbose!

Between studying, working & being a dad to 3 kids doesn't leave much time for fishing!
