Interested in learning Python and becoming a professional Python developer.

I have been web programming avocationally (that is, as a hobbyist/enthusiast) in Perl and Python for about 20 years. Professionally, I am an accountant, but I want to switch into programming FT somehow. It's actually my dream job. :)

Not sure exactly how I am going to make the transition, yet. I have a bunch of apps in development I want to use for a portfolio, but I have also been slowly (and carefully) learning stackoverflow to try to understand how to land a job.
