I've worked with computers since the late 90's, but not on the programming side. I'm the guy that helps people maximize their use of the software, not the guy that maximizes the software. I've decided to try my hand at programming an application for my Android phone to assist me with my main hobby, BBQ.

I'm not sure where this will go, or even if I know how to get there, but I'm sure I'll have fun learning more about programming and the pitfalls associated with it.

I've already learned a bit from searching past questions and look forward to seeing the answers targeted at my specific project. Thanks in advance for any and all help you can give me.
