I’m not looking for employment. After a decade of being filtered out by algorithms deciding I’m too this or too that I’m doing my own thing.
This probably should be some sort of concise, clear listing of my skills to provide fodder for headhunters but let's be honest: you're not going to hire someone who doesn't have a technical degree, no matter how much experience he has, so let's not waste each other's time, shall we?
Many years ago I ran www.ibm.com, which was fun for about thirty seconds, and a nightmare for five years. I came to my senses and worked on www.olympics.com for the Sydney Olympic Games. After that I really came to my senses and left IBM for the lucrative world of I/T consulting in post–apocalypse New York City.
I program mostly in PHP and Python, with some Perl. I've written code in: PL/X, Case/390, Rexx, Pascal, C, C++, Lisp, Prolog, some Java, very little Ruby. Personal favorite is Rexx. I have systems development & administration experience with: VM/CMS, MVS, OS/X, FreeBSD, Windows Server 2003, Windows, many Linux variants. Database development experience in DB2 (AIX), MySQL and MongoDB.
