I am a driven Senior Software Developer and Manager; who has strong experience working with Agile methodologies. I currently work within ab AWS based system using Lambda, Dynamo and other technologies to run Node, Java and Angular apps. I lead a Team who integrate our in-house system with external third party XML based systems to enable Business Travel customers to search and book Flights.

I am the Technical Lead of a team of four, with responsibility for delivering work and projects in collaboration with our Product Owner and delegating tasks to the engineers on the team.

Additionally, I currently Line Manage several people, who are not solely within my team, helping them to set and achieve S.M.A.R.T obectives, and to enjoy working at the company. I am heading up recruitment into the Engineering department, working with my line manager, a Senior Engineering Manage, to process applicants. This is achieved using Recruitee to schedule interviews and review CVs, training other Engineers how to interview effectively and settings candidates a Hard Technical Problem challenge. With the ultimate aim to make ourselves redundant in the interview process and simply to ensure that they happen by enabling other Engineers to work effectively.

I have managed and led various projects in all the companies I've worked in, liaising closely with clients to gather specifications and deliver to tight deadlines, and leading industry-standard setting teams to influence the direction of global Flight booking APIs.

I am a keen sports enthusiast, playing Football, Roller Derby and Badminton, I have followed Leeds Utd for my whole life and recently been very pleased to join the Marching Out Together LGBT+ fangroup.
