Professional Background

Since my early years, I've been captivated by the intersection of technology and nature. With a deep appreciation for the planet instilled in me by my mother, who was an avid climber, and early access to computers thanks to my father's work at Intel, I started exploring this interaction through film and photography on many skiing, climbing, and biking adventures.

During my studies in the Earth and Planetary Science program at UNM, I was introduced to spatial technologies and remote sensing applications. The combination of maps, data science, and photography increased my understanding of the planet and opened new opportunities for improved stewardship. This experience was truly transformative and set me on a path that would shape my career and my life.

Over the last decade, I've been fortunate enough to work as a spatial data scientist, software engineer, and architect. At every step, I've explored the complex and ever-changing interactions between our planet, her ecosystems, and technology. Through my work with remote sensing data, I've discovered unique challenges and opportunities for growth and innovation. It is an incredibly compelling dataset for modern data science applications.

Today, I am the founder of ASIO, a pipeline safety management system, dedicated to promoting collaboration and spatial data integration to effectively manage risks and ensure environmental stewardship. Our focus on sustainable technology and reducing potential liabilities enables energy asset operators to achieve new levels of efficiency and profitability while minimizing environmental impacts.

I am honored to be a passionate advocate for the environment and believe in the power of technology to promote sustainable living. I remain committed to delivering innovative solutions that balance progress and preservation for generations to come.

My technical expertise includes working with a range of tools and platforms such as AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Python, Jupyter, Node, MongoDB, Express, React, NextJS, and Linux.
