I’ve recently executed a career pivot and entered the world of software development. For the past 7 months I have focused my time on becoming a full-stack JavaScript developer utilizing the MERN stack and TDD. I love working in pairs and mob programming because it allows me to fully apply my skillset as an empathic developer who enjoys helping others grow and succeed while simultaneously creating innovative software that fulfills human needs from diverse perspectives. I thrive in diverse groups with many unique perspectives and skills who enjoy sharing and learning from one another. I enjoy solving complex problems with others while bringing joy and wonder into the process. I feel fulfilled in careers that improve the lives of others, whether by saving them time and money, educating, or by providing entertainment or a joyful respite from a weary world. Improving the lives of others has been a lifelong pursuit of mine and was at the core of my previous career in public service and continues to be what draws me to performing as a circus artist, dancer, and musician.
