I've been hovering around the edges of computing ever since I got a ZX81 for Christmas in 1981. Qualified as a banker, trained as a chartered accountant, but never lost interest in computers.
At the age of 50, decided that being an accountant until I retired would be financially rewarding but soul-destroying, so have re-trained as a teacher in computing science - and absolutely love it.
Brushing off all my uni notes from the computing degrees I did....trying to learn enough Python to impress the pupils....but have never looked back.
