I work for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Macaulay Library, designing and implementing mostly backend solutions for handling data and enabling uses of the media that we have collected in things like the eBird quiz that generates a quiz for any place on earth where we have photos or audio recordings of at least 20 bird species.
Previously I worked for the Center for Open Science, mostly using python, and the Joint Astronomy Centre, in C, Python, and Perl most of the time and whatever weird language motor controllers or other hardware insisted on.
