As a Full-Stack Web Developer and Cloud Solutions Architect, my daily work focusses on the development of scalable web microservices using JavaScript and F#. I encourage my team to adopt Agile workflows and build automated CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell, GitHub Actions and Docker. I strive to develop high-quality, secure and performant products that offer maximum client value.

I originally studied and qualified as a Structural Engineer, specialising in Finite Element Modelling (FEM) and lateral stability analysis of high-rise buildings. However, a single university module in MATLAB was sufficient to get me hooked on programming. As soon as I graduated, I enrolled on a part-time MSc in Computing at the Open University.

My final MSc research thesis is focussed on Artificial Neural Networks, Data Science and Machine Learning techniques. Thus, I have experience using many popular Python libraries including Keras, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy and MatPlotLib. Recently, I've also been experimenting with the cutting-edge ML.NET open-source library from Microsoft, for easier AI integration into .NET projects.

I enjoy sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues and animatedly discussing latest technology trends and frameworks. I'm particularly interested in building high-performance, cross-platform Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) using modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Svelte/Vue. I'm an active proponent of Functional Programming and frequently promote F# adoption for interactive Data Science and Machine Learning exploration.

Interestingly, my love for languages is not limited to computers: I also speak fluent French, and both Italian/Portuguese to a proficient level. When I'm not coding, you'll either find me at the gym or reading a good technology book!
