Hi I'm Jordan, I run a tech company dedicated to providing the average internet user with the necessary knowledge and tools to keep themselves and their data safe online.
Some Background: I've been an avid Linux user since I first logged into Ubuntu 12.04.2 in 2013 at 14 years old, but I never thought of pursuing a career in the Industry until now. Back in school I was obsessed with joining the Royal Navy, I trained each and every day and even set it as my job title on Facebook! (loads of kids my age did this with their dream jobs so it was a big deal lol). This however drastically affected my attention to exam's as I prioritized my training over high grades and chose to simply "wing it"... BIG MISTAKE. I managed to get a few C's here and there; mostly D's overall and a not so surprising A* in German (my second language) but unfortunately my greatest failure was in Computer Science. I scored a C in the actual exam which I was slightly disappointed with since it would be fair to say i could've got myself a B with added revision. "Hey it's good enough to be accepted on most college courses, plus I didn't need it anyway." I told myself, that's when I read further down the page and found everyone's favorite letter (not) an "F". It was an F in coursework (60% of my grade) since due to all my training I hadn't tackled a single piece of it in my life making my overall grade an E. Embarrassed I decided to put Computer Science and IT of all kinds behind me for good... Until today! I've been through a lot of ups and downs since then and now I know that the Military just isn't for me. Now I find the same sense of freedom and purpose in running my business, configuring (and re-configuring) my archlinux system, and sharing my knowledge of linux as I would the Navy. All in all, I'm very glad to be here!
