I've worked for about 19 years in the field of science, mainly biology and I ended up with a specialization in mass spectrometry. I enjoyed the technology and the challenges to make stuff work a lot, probably even more than just the biology. After having finished contributing to a very nice final paper, me and my family decided to move to New Zealand for a while and it was during this time I decided to change careers, picking up my life-time hobbies of programming and making. This is what I'm now getting to a high level. I've been lucky to have met someone in my Astrophotography hobby who works on a popular software package and is taking me in. Java and JavaFX is where it's at for me at the moment.
