Advertisers use Floodlight to determine the effectiveness of their online campaigns in terms of both sales and user activity on their sites. The information recorded by the Floodlight tag depends on its configuration and its location on the advertiser's site.

Using dynamic tags, advertisers can also include their own tracking tags, tracking tags from a publisher, or any other code that they want to serve in conjunction with the Floodlight conversion-tracking tag. There are mainly two steps in using Floodlight,

  • Activity : A Floodlight activity is a specific user action that you want to track, such as the completion of a purchase or a visit to a webpage. You create and manage activities in Trafficking.

  • Conversation : When a user performs the action after seeing one of the ads, that's a conversion.

You should use this tag if your question is related to the use of Floodlight or its tags.
