I had a thought about rooting my z flip 5 by exploiting the kernel (5.15.78). After some surface level research I found CVE-2022-29581 which allows local privilege escalation and it looks like it's a vuln that might work for this kernel version not accounting for custom patches Android may have. It is my theory that if I can gain root, I could unlock the bootloader afterwards. I have no idea how to implement this however and am hoping someone on this site can help me with a shellscript I can run in termux or adb shell.

I'm still asking questions. I can't find anything about how to exploit this vulnerability but I would like to root my phone which samsung seems to not want me to do despite me owning the phone. Little things like not showing the oem unlock option in developer options are incredibly annoying. I just want to run custom roms with custom kernel etc.
