Is there a way to program SQL to do the following?

After creating a new table or new procedure I'll often hit refresh on Object Explorer so that I can see those objects on the server. However, the server refresh collapses all the folders and I have to re-explode them to see what I just created. Typically, I will have the Tables folder and the Programmability> Stored Procedures open while I'm working. I'd like to set it so that when I hit refresh the default file path tree has my database exploded along with those two file paths. Is this possible?

Thank you.

Just pressing refresh will different levels of the file tree selected.

I think you'd have to right-click the already-expanded Stored Procedures folder and hit refresh on the context menu - that will refresh just that node and leave it expanded. https://i.stack.imgur.com/DtM1o.png – Aaron Bertrand Aug 23 '23 at 18:46

If you select the node you want to refresh and then click refresh, it will also only refresh that node (it will still collapse that node). Alternatively download (purchase) an add-on that automatically updates the object explorer when you add/remove objects – Thom A Aug 23 '23 at 19:06
