An error occurred. Please try again later.

I cant edit, confiure or access editable properties of the Azure Active Directory DS. I am global admin.
Due to this I am unable to add roles or users or apps, etc.

When I run a eligable rights query on it, it fails and presents me with a "An error occurred. Please try again later. " alert. And below the empty results table is "The tenant needs an AAD Premium 2 license."

This is confusing because Azure AD DS was working and is supposed to be a usable feature under the Azure AD Free license. The business has licensing subscriptions for all our users, Windows and full Office 365 (Microsoft 365 Business Standard) with a business tenant setup. 365 Cloud Exchange Server, SharePoint, Teams, 365 Defender for security policy management, and more.

I have gone through the docs for the various admin centers without finding a solution.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. The Microsoft 365 Business Standard licensing we have only allows me to push a support ticket for billing, subscription and quota issues. For technical support I need premium licensing. :(
