In class, we learnt about the different allocation strategies, namely First - available, Next - available, and Best - available. I was wondering what does Mac OS use? Does it use a combination of these allocation strategies to leverage its advantages? Or, it uses something entirely different.
I tried searching for this on the Internet but didn't find anything regarding this. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
