so I have multiple devices (over 100) that can be turned on but can only be updated via a USB with the software update saved on there. Basically the devices are touch screen and within the settings you can update it using a USB plugged into the USB port. As such, I started looking up Reverse USB hubs and came across a KVM switch. With these, I noticed that you could essentially plug in USB Male to USB Male plugs to connect it to multiple devices.

Does anyone know if the idea of plugging in several devices into the KVM switch and having the USB plugged in would work for the project that I mentioned?

Is there a better method to do what I'm trying to do?

So far we have just tried manual input of USB devices (which can be tedious after 20 or so units). I haven't purchased the KVM switch as I'm not sure if I would just be wasting time and money.
