Currently the browser plugin for Accessibility Insights for Web tests against WCAG2.1, with WCAG2.2 going live on the Friday 18th August 2023, does anyone have any idea when Accessibility Insights for Web will include testing against WCAG2.2 please?

  • First off, a quick clarification. WCAG 2.2 is still a "Proposed Recommendation". [The doc](https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/#sotd) says it's still collecting review comments until 18 Aug 2023 so I don't think that means it's going live on that date. It also says, *"**Note that WCAG 2.2 is not yet a W3C Recommendation**. WCAG 2.1 is the latest W3C Recommendation."* But to your question, contacting the accessibilityinsights.io would be best since your question is not a programming question, or perhaps keep an eye on https://github.com/microsoft/accessibility-insights-web/releases/ – slugolicious Aug 10 '23 at 01:57

I am a member of the Accessibility Insights team and we are actively working on updates to Accessibility Insights for Web based on WCAG 2.2. We plan to release an updated version of Accessibility Insights for Web with WCAG 2.2 content once that work is complete.
